Story:

A youth from Yan State journeyed from afar to Handan, intending to master the walking style of its people. However, he not only failed to acquire the Zhao people's gait but also forgot his own original way of walking, ultimately having to crawl back home.

Moral:

This story told that in both work and life, we should not blindly abandon our own mature experiences or mechanically replicate others' methods. Such an approach not only fails to learn from others' strengths but also risks losing our own advantages. This is the essence of what we call "anti-experientialism" and "anti-dogmatism". Reflecting on China's history during the Anti-Japanese War, our Party initially attempted to emulate the Soviet Union's successful "urban-surrounding-rural" strategy, which yielded little success. However, our leader Mao Zedong, based on practical realities, ultimately formulated the "rural-surrounding-urban" military strategy. This strategic shift, as demonstrated by Comrade Mao Zedong, led the Red Army to victory. As the saying goes, "Every inch has its length, and every foot has its length." Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. If each person can maximize his or her strengths, he or she can also create their own moments of brilliance in life.
