“自诚明，谓之性；自明诚，谓之教。诚则明矣；明则诚矣。”

白话文：
由内心真诚而自然明白道理，就叫做天性；由明白存在的意义而做到真诚，这就叫教化。真诚就会通晓事理，通晓事理就会真诚。

When intelligence arises from sincerity, we call it nature; when sincerity arises from intelligence, we call it education. With sincerity, there is intelligence; with intelligence, there is sincerity."
